QPC Announces the Stinger; a Modular Cable Termination System.

QPC Announces the Stinger; a Modular Cable Termination System.
Fiber optic engineering company...

QPC introduces the Stinger; a Modular Cable Termination System.

The Stinger has a long history and originally comes from the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, “Like a stinger on a bee, our idea was to have its stinger pulled awayfrom the fiber optic cable if the control box was hit.” says ITS salesman Jim Duke.

QPC’s Stinger is also designed to be an alternative toproblems associated with other patch panels currently onthe market. “While traveling the US, I ran into a lot of cities, counties and states that didn't like things about their existingsystems.” says Duke which led to the development of QPC’s Stinger system.

This competitive product features the ability to makeadjustments and repairs too. You measured twice, cut onceand it is still too short? No problem. The Stinger can adjustslightly to your cable’s length. Also with the Stinger, you’ll have the ability to re-enter the system while other patchpanels can be filled with an epoxy.

Currently, the QPC Stinger allows underground cables to be terminated in a rugged, compact, flexible and cost effective system. The Stinger Cable Termination System consists of interchangeable modules that are available in a variety of connection methods and can beadapted for applications including ITS Systems, Data Centers, CATV, FTTH and many more.

Adapter modules are available with LC, SC, ST, FC or MTP adapters in Singlemode or Multimode. The cable input module can besupplied with or without a splice tray. The enhanced cable strain relief and second cable entry port make the Stinger very flexible andexpandable. Further, it can be supplied pre-configured or as field upgradeable components.

Mounting options include a DIN rail system for fast rugged assembly with trouble free operation. It is versatile and has a long service life.Screw mounts are available for maximum flexibility.Features & Benefits:

Stinger modules snap together and allow systems to be assembled complete or customized in the field

Stinger Module Systems can be purchased as finished assemblies with any length of fiber or as individual components for field assembly

The relatively small number of parts simplifies inventory and provides maximum flexibility

Snap assembly makes field customizing and maintenance quick and simple#

DIN rail mounting creates a rugged assembly with trouble free operation, versatility, and long service life

Cost effective solution.

Further information about the QPC Stinger and many other products are all available at www.qpcfiber.com About QPC FIBER OPTIC, Inc.:QPC is an engineering company which provides custom designed high performance fiber optic products for military, aerospace, andcommunication applications.
